Fred retired from IU as Director of Professional Development in 2004. During his time at IU, he also served as project director for several federally-funded projects, taught social studies and computer courses, and directed a program which put university faculty and teachers together.
Fred Risinger worked at Indiana University for 31 years. He served as a project director for several projects, taught social studies and computer courses, and directed a program that worked toward getting faculty and teacher to work together. He is now retired, but still works on writing textbooks and consulting. After retirement, he worked 10 years as a bartender in a local brewpub, retiring again in 2014. Fred received his education from Northern Illinois University.
