Profile

Dr. Nazir Amir is Lead Teacher at Greenview Secondary School, Singapore. He is a recipient of the President's Award for Teachers 2014, and a Top 50 finalist of the Global Teacher Prize 2016. Looking for ways to make STEM subjects engaging for academically at-risk students, Nazir developed the RAP (Relevant, Appealing and Personal) pedagogical approach to keep them intrinsically motivated and on task. In his 13 years of teaching, Nazir has inspired professional communities of teachers within his school and beyond.
