Profile

Marina Basu teaches Math and Science at The Valley School-KFI, Bangalore, India. She has also been involved in reconceptualising the mixed age group math curriculum for both junior and middle school. Prior to working at Valley, she was engaged in a wide variety of educational environments over several years that included working with underprivileged children in after school programs in India as well as with pre-service and in-service teachers at an American university. Her passion lies in understanding Math as a language and in creating larger connections to the historical and cultural contexts of math.
