Maija Heikkila is an EFL teacher at Janakkala High School and Tervakoski Secondary School in Janakkala, Finland. Maija has been a teacher for eight years and been active in many different projects including promoting international collaboration, improving learning environments and using IT in education. In addition to these, she has worked as a tutoring teacher for the student board and organised class trips abroad. Maija has also studied educational management and leadership and gained experience in school management working at a language school in the United Kingdom. Maija is interested in enhancing her knowledge on the American culture and the history of the USA in order to provide her students more comprehensive conception of the American culture and way of life.
